To earn CCIE service provider exam, you need to clear two exams: a qualifying exam and practical exam.

The second examination is 8 hour, lab examination CCIE Service Provider v 5.0. The exam includes details of complex networks, from designing to operating to optimizing.

Step 1- Take the qualifying exam 305-501 SPCOr.
Step 2- Take the lab examination
Changing towards new program
On February 24, 2020, the new CCIE Service Provider certification version 5.0 will replace the current CCIE Service Provider 4.1.
If you have started working towards the current CCIE Service Provider certification, go ahead for it. In the new program, you’ll receive the work for you have completed in the current certification.
If you clear the CCIE Service Provider v4.1 written examination before February 24, you will be eligible to take the new certification exam before February 24.
If you are able to complete the CCIE Service Provider v 4.1 written examination before February 24, you will be eligible to take the CCIE Service Provider v 5.0 lab examination after February 24.
After February 24, the exam will be substituted by SPCOR 350-501. After you clear SPCOR 350-501, you will earn the CISCO Certified Specialist- Service Provider Core Certification.
If you complete the whole CCIE Service Provider certification before 24 February, then you have to maintain CCIE Service Provider certification as per the new certification guidelines, and you will earn the CISCO Certified Specialist- Service Provider Core Certification.
There are no formal requirements to clear CCIE Service Provider examination, but you need to have a formal understanding of exam topics before appearing in the exam. The candidates are recommended to have a prior experience of five to seven years with an experience in the field of designing, deploying, operating and optimizing service provider technology prior to taking the exam.Back to top

CCIE Service Provider (v5.0) Exam Topics – Practical Exam
The Cisco CCIE Service Provider (v5.0) Practical Exam is an eight-hour, hands-on exam that requires a candidate to plan, design, implement, operate, and optimize dual stack solutions (IPv4 and IPv6) of complex service provider networks.
Candidates are expected to program and automate the network within their exam, as per exam topics below.
The following topics are general guidelines for the content likely to be included on the exam. Your knowledge, skills and abilities on these topics will be tested throughout the entire network lifecycle, unless explicitly specified otherwise within this document.
